Super Mario RPG legend of the 7 stars, Is like my most favorite game ever, But I like my ps2 better, Because of the functionality as well, It fits easily into small places, plays dvd's without a 30$ remote, has high quality great games, the best controller, etc.

I dont know about the emulation quality or availableness of current systems, but since PC's have CD-rom drives, all you need anymore is the emulator prog itself, and not the game files, which of course are pirated and illegal.

GC actually has comfortable controller.

And PC can count because its a COMPUTER game. The term video can now be defined as games played through the Video ports of the TV and a consol.

PS2 is the best and most stable.

GC has a good line, but the games can only hold 1/3rd the size of a PS2 or XB

XBox = bad. not to mention an over budgeted backfired campain that will set XBox back 7 years to break even on all the money wasted on creating/advertising it. (Down from 5 when it was at $300 a unit - and this is assuming they have a productive sale margin)

I also find XB has a horrible controller, and games like Halo were less than par IMO. WWF Raw was a dissapointing try at something good. Project Gothem and Amped seem to be the only worth while games that are Box only.


I cant wait until Nov when "The Get Away" for the PS2 comes out. The game looks insane. I suggest you check it out if you havent.

Nope, my friends brother has a box. I tend to not play because of a) its x box b) its microshaft and c) he has it hooked up to a 13 inch tv.

You must play on a 19" or bigger with surround sound. Doesnt matter if its a Computer or Game system.

-52x Read CD (I can do dvd, but I have a player hooked to the system, so I went for higher X)
-40X/12X/48X Burnproof

the digits mean this:
1st X = Burnspeed (take size of CD {MEGS}, and divide by the speed {X}. {MEGS}/{X} = estimated burn time. Music CDs take a little longer because they have to be encoded.)

2nd X = Re-Write Speed, how long it takes to re-write a cd.

3rd X = Read Speed. how fast it can read the cd

Sound Card: Maya 44 Sound Card (Blows your low fidellity piece of shit out of the water :p . I'm talking teh mjoR PWNr)

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 100/200 (Very sub-par for the machine, but its just old, still dishes out the graphics)

The advantage gaming consols have over PC's is that they are highly dedicated devices, although the technologies of DVD, CD and such are converging as we speak. Being dedicated, they can focus most/all of all they capable processing and computing power, for the purposes of gaming. But you already knew all that.

There is a difference. In order to make the P4 run at 2.4 there is a $800+ difference.

Thats why AMDs are better. You get the performance stated without wasting cash.

P4's can run up to 2.4... if you have the wallet to by the "recomended" conditions.

You can always make you game system better too. They just released a linux kit for the PS2. It allows the user to program and play their own games, it also comes with a 40 gig hd, and a network connection as well as many other items.

Not to mention the fun of having 4 friends over to kick the chicken shit out of each other in Twisted Metal, or games like Frequency.

Basically PCs are good, but for the gaming expeirience, you want a console.

Um... it either works, or it doesnt. No need to worry about formats, memory or system specs.

And playing on the net is not like playing with 3 other friends. You have them right their, so when you fuck up they can make sure you know... Its provides grounds for comedic uprisings as one becomes the jackass bitch of the game.


And PS2 (for example) Has more power than ANY of those dell or gateway desktops, most other market brand ones. (Saddam himself ordered 200,000 just for the sheir power it has. (to help program his lil nuc heads) which of course is just a rumored sphiel) Just to show, PS2 carries the most powerful emotion engine on the market

The Xbox carries the best graphics card to date (at the launch), 10 gig built in HD, networking, and a DVD player (also in PS2)

Game Cube carries a good balance of control with graphics, but has fallen to the PS2 in over all quality.

Face it, You know jack about console gamming. Dont waste your time trying to rebuttle. I am an avid gammer of both, and prefer the Console with friends over online w/ typing.

Basically all you can judge for by best system ever, isn't the system at all actually it's the games for it, yes the computer may have great capabilities, but you're never gonna get a good one player RPG on it because of the fact that it's made for multi player.

Multi player is a good thing but I wouldn't give best system ever to computers just for that.

As for the newer systems the games for X box is a laughing matter, if you think that the best fighting game ever is Dead or Alive 3 I should kill you, because that is the best fighting game out there for the X box. RPG's X box has nothing in as well, so far x box is just pretty shitty it just has good capibilities, but what are capibilities if it has no good games to back it up with.

GameCube had a good start for games as for when it just came out, and has some great one player games like Eternal Darkness and Resident Evil, some awsome multi player like super smash melee, and super monkey ball which they are also coming out with a sequal for. RPG's and fighting games it's lacking in though.

As for PS2 it has some good of everything but most of it is for PS1. The good games for just PS2 are for multiplayer TM Black, for RPG FFX, for shooters not much that are really not worthy, it had a couple good fighting games but nothing really that compares to some on dreamcast.

Which is why I said earlier that Dreamcast has the best fighting games such as Mark of the Wolves, Capcom vs SNK1 and 2, Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2, Guilty Gear X, Soul Caliber and more.

For RPG's the best is the SNES, for such games as Chrono trigger, Final Fantasy 4 and 6, Act Raiser 1, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Suiken Desetsu 3 (secret of mana 3 also known as the best RPG for SNES and best RPG ever, never released in the US) and more in that as well.

For side scrolling action games SNES, Genesis and NES are all up there, but I think that NES wins over all with such classics as Contra, Shatter hand, Vice Prodject doom, Kabuki Quantum fighter, and Castlevania 1 and 3.

Also for shooters which I forgot to mention earlier goes to Sega Saturn for just one game the best shooter of all time, Radiant Silvergun (also not released in the US, but easily the best shooter ever).
